


Tampopo is a rapidly expanding group of pan-asian restaurants, focusing on serving healthy, high-quality food at value-for-money prices with quick, friendly service.
Despite their successful restaurants, Tampopo had no database and an inflexible website, which, rather than delivering for them, cost them money. They wanted an entirely fresh look at their online marketing and a website that could easily accommodate their expanding business.
Propeller developed a complete online package for Tampopo, including a stylish, multi-venue website and the implementation of a database initiative, which generated in excess of 10,000 entries in the first six months alone. Alongside this database generation Propeller developed an innovative email marketing campaign that integrated successfully with more traditional marketing.
Tampopo has been transformed from a company that didn’t really use the internet at all to using the internet as their central marketing tool. Each new restaurant is launched in tandem with Propeller’s innovative viral campaigns to ensure pre-launch data: Propeller’s innovative ‘refer a friend’ campaign to mark Tampopo’s Bristol opening generated a pre-launch customer database.
