Majordomo Hospitality was founded with the remit of making their clients lives easier, specialising in providing top quality official packages for all major sporting, social and entertainment events.
Launched late 2009 and in its infancy, Majordomo came to Propeller seeking a complete brand identity and corresponding online presence. With traditional roots invested in its name, Majordomo, referring to a member of court who made arrangements for others, it was important that this historical reference was accurately translated visually. The website needed to combine a sleek and modern design yet portray a traditional and accessible brand. Aside from presenting bespoke packages, Majordomo also wanted to be able to access and edit their detailed events listings and packages, aswell as providing clients with the means to download further package information, forward the details to a friend and enquire online. Prior to launching their website, they also wanted to produce a brochure for prospective clients and industry events.
Tradition meets quirk in the new Majordomo brand identity which features an ornate pineapple, the international sign of hospitality. Equally flamboyant font and gold leaf touches combine to form a sophisticated logo, enhanced by a strict colour palette of monochromes and muted greys. Splashes of full colour imagery throughout the brochure and website ensure both are kept fresh and appealing. The website's use of a secondary scrolling menu keeps clear call to actions at the forefront of browsers' minds while making the distinction between the company and its services. Meanwhile, the unique Majordomo Content Management System allows for a completely editable events listing - events, packages and venues can be created and linked where relevant, assigned a pdf breakdown and set live on the year long calendar.
Through a combined brand identity and online presence, Majordomo’s position as an important player within the capital's hospitality industry has now been cemented
