Former home of the celebrated playwright W.S. Gilbert of Gilbert & Sullivan, Grim's Dyke is a magnificent country hotel set in over 40 acres of English countryside.
What they Wanted
When Grim's Dyke initially approached Propeller, their website was old-fashioned, poorly performing and badly in need of a facelift. The challenge was creating a website that blended both their unique history and tradition with a modern and functional design.
What Propeller Delivered
The new Grim's Dyke website allows the hotel to promote special offers, push online bookings through an embedded Book Online form, cater to their older customers with a Text Zoom and encourage visitors to get in touch via strong calls to action. All the while, the hotel's traditional identity is retained through quirky design features and true life photography. Gilbert & Sullivan enthusiasts are not forgotten with an interactive timeline allowing them to learn more about the hotel and it's famous former owner.
Result
Since launching, the website is already reporting visitor numbers in the thousands, with daily enquiries now surpassing previous monthly enquiry figures!
